What users say
CleanShot X
"Paid Mac swiss-army with recording and scrolling; Shottr stays the cheaper stills pick."
Pros
The scrolling capture plus built-in annotation tools save me from opening a separate editor every time, and the cloud upload with auto-copied link is genuinely fast If you want more of a swiss-army-knife tool (screen recording, OCR, self-timer included), CleanShot X is worth it I've been using CleanShot X for 3 yrs or so, and haven't looked back
OBS Studio
"Free cross-platform screencaster; crash and lag reports pull UX down."
Pros
ShareX and OBS are free and open-source Works really well
